One of our most basic needs is to have a sense of self-worth. Having positive feelings about ourselves is necessary for our overall well-being. When we feel alone, disconnected and insecure, we’re filled with thoughts of inferiority and negativity. It often times takes an objective perspective (i.e. a therapist) to help us learn how to tune into ourselves and utilize the positive qualities that may be hidden within us.
Most people, at one time or another, realize that they need some help. It takes a lot of courage to ask for help, especially when we feel hopeless, flawed or unlovable. Heck, it’s even tough when you know you’re a good catch, a great friend or loving partner. There’s nothing wrong with getting help, especially if it means finding true connections with the people that matter in our lives.
How can I help?
A big part of what I do includes helping women who long for loving, healthy and stable relationships but hold themselves back for fear of repeating old patterns, fear of exposure of who they “really are” or fear of the reality that the people they’re surrounding themselves with really aren’t good for them.
There’s absolutely no need to struggle in relationships or feel the need to sell yourself out.
I know from personal experience, and from helping women from all walks of life, that no matter what your background, your family of origin, your shameful history, that you are capable of and are worthy of love and belonging.
What if it’s all me? What if I’m the crazy one?
I have to say.. I can’t count the number of times women have thanked me for confirming they’re not really crazy!
What I Know…
Women are beautiful beings with immense capacities to give and receive love. Just because someone isn’t willing or able to love us the way we wish does not mean we are unlovable or unworthy of a loving relationship. Sometimes we fall in love with dangerous men, abusive men, and men who are too nice! Sometimes we hold onto friendships that we know are one-sided and not serving us anymore. Sometimes we sacrifice who we are to fit in with people to avoid feelings of shame, indifference or fear of being disliked and judged. But…
There’s good news..
With help, you can learn how let go of unhelpful beliefs and attitudes about yourself, love and relationships. You can begin to create authentic, intimate and loving long-term relationships that you deserve. Call for a free consultation today.
